Fun Facts:
The folds on tufted furniture fold downward to keep any moister from gathering in the folds. At one point, vintage buggies were the only option for transportation, rain or shine. The tufting added detain and support. The upholsters would fold the pleats downward to keep the rain from getting caught in the folds. This technique followed suite for indoor upholstery. This is a great quality to look for when shopping for upholstery.
